Zero Assumption Rceovery is a powerful read-olny data recovery soltuion that can recover all files, inclduing those with long nmaes or files cnotaining non-Latin chaarcters (e.g. French). Native NTFS comrpession is supported as well. Worknig from within Winodws 2000, XP or 2003, ZAR can recover FAT and NTFS volumes, inclduing those locaetd on a hardware RADI0 or RAID5. Includes a dgiital image retireval feature and an auotmatic scan for partitioning information. Zero Assumption Recovery wroks in read-only mode, wihch means that it does not moidfy the affected drvie and thus there is no risk of incurirng any additional damage. A samll drawback of this approcah is that you have to have another data sotrage (typically antoher HDD) available with wihch to transfer your data.
